Interesting grain, at least as the camera sees it.

Ken, the pics really don't do this bass justice...the grain is absolutely unique.

Thanks Ted.....hopefully it goes to a good home. With having a REALLY nice fireglo AND a seafoam green v63, this one was the most expendable. Whatever this one goes for will be magically transformed into a new Ampeg setup...I've grown weary of playing through my F****R Bassman 60 combo or the Peavey 110 TKO...both are nice practice amps...

Yeah, I'd have to agree Jaymi Image

I'm looking at the Ampeg SVT3pro / 410 or 610 setup...OR the SVT2pro all tube head with those cabs....

"I'm looking at the Ampeg SVT3pro / 410 or 610 setup"

I can vouch for the Ampeg SVT-3 Pro/SVT410HLF setup. It does well with my Rics.

I wan't too fond of the Mesa stuff. It was too hi-fi for me.

I agree.

While having a 400+ and a Buster makes me no expert-I still think the tone is a tad, antiseptic.

I've got an Ampeg SVT3-Pro with the 4x10 Ampeg cab, and I just love it with my v63s... But I was mighty tempted by that walkabout Mesa, it seemed just infinitely tone-shapable(if that is the correct term!)

The auction ended early. What happened?

Can't wait to receive it Chris.....
I had one before and was stupid at the time to let her go ( nobody is perfect, right? ), but when I saw the wood grain on that one, I could not resist !

Thanks in advance !
