My GK stuff listed above is great! Some of the other stuff is not so hot, but still works after decades of use.

The rest don't go out much, the Superbass is my main gigging amp, not sure if internally it's any different to a normal one. The cab is an early 70's with 4 25w celestions, after about an hour they get hot and have a distortion of their own to add, just heaven.
Nice. :)

its been quite a search for me for a new amp. I have found that I do not like something about the class D stuff just yet. I found the amp that sounds great to me and with my Ric.

Ashdown Touring 330 2X10. 300 watts with a line out to another cab if so desired. by itself its probably about 200 watts.
Its got 2 tubes for the preamp and very simple EQ.
The sound is incredible...

I use an Eden "Metro" with two 10's and a horn. Has around 400 watts rms, very loud and clean. I also bought a small Fender Bronco 40 which is a neat little toy, but sounds surprisingly good! I find the solid state(FET) channel of the Eden to work best with my 4003.

Ah . . . Acoustic. Back in 1975, I had the 371. The cabinet was like that one, but had only 1 speaker in it -- an 18" reverse loaded woofer. The head had sliding levers for the EQ. I think it was a 370 head with the 301 cabinet, hence the 371 combo name. I think; that was a long time ago. I remember the cabinet had a sticker on the back that said: WARNING! Sound levels within six feet of this enclosure may exceed 120 decibels. It sure did!

I have a 4001 1972 bass & have owned it from new. At the moment I have a stereo Y lead routed through 2 graphic eq
into the bright & normal channels of a Hiwatt dr100 amp on top of a Marshall 1960 cab I use 2 cabs if needed.

I then control volume of individual pickups from amp/eq & control individual p/u tone through eq.

Nice setup, Richard. Welcome! I'm sure we'd all like to see pictures of your 1972. In fact I'm positive.
