Since there doesn't seems to be a over all SYB thread.. Here are my RICS!
77 burgundyglo 4001 and 80 Azureglo 4003

I've had the 77 for about a year, I got it as stripped off ebay and put all modern parts in/on it, I loved it so much I NEEDED a second one for BEAD tuning and I just got the 80 about a week ago.. I'm having a new PG [old one is WORPED] made for it to match the 77's and have put a pickup/string cover on it
Both are strung with flats [chromes] for what it is worth..

It sounds pretty damn good, I need to put some more spacers between the cover and the bridge pickup though because the B tends to either hit the cover or the pole piece if you pluck too hard.

I know... but really unless I was to sell the thing [which is really unlikely] does having a logo matter? $150-$200 for a piece of plastic with a name on it.. I personally don't need that.

It is, of course, a non-essential component. If you did want to ever sell the bass, though, the nameplate would be worth picking up.
