A double-bound, six-string 360 is absolutely essential to the Rickenbacker product line.
I have to agree. I know Mr. Hall has stated about ONE MILLION TIMES it's not going to happen, but if they were to ever add an item to the catalogue a '60s repro 360 O.S. should be at the top of the list.

No doubt Doug, your Double Bound JetGlo 12er at BARC was an inspiration for me pursuing this one ! :)
Now I won't have to bug you, dropping hints, like if you ever want to sell yours ....

There are plenty of 330s available for modification to 360 WB....and a mapleglo finish makes a great base for a refin to jetglo... muahahahaha.

IIRC, a 360 WB would only be slightly less expensive than a 360/12 C63, and most people won't pay the difference, which is why, except for those of us with the double-bound fetish, orders for these guitars were relatively slim, and the model was dropped from the lineup.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

The closest thing we ever got was the 360V64. Then the Japanese (they get everything!!) got the 360C63.

That looks awesome. I wonder how much it would add for Rick to add binding to a 360 O.S.? It's only one more side than the current ones, right? Again, I'm sure they've crunched the numbers and it's a tough sell, I just think that if it weren't that much more it would rival the standard 360 in sales.

Yes, Paulie's Double Bound Blue Boy with 21 frets, Toasters, inlays, silver guards and oven knobs is a real eye-catcher ! ! Hard to imagine it was once a well-worn player's 330 with 24 frets .... but I've seen the before and after !

IIRC, the ballpark price for what a six string double bound would cost now was just slightly less than the 360/12 C63, which makes sense, since there's a slight price variation in any given Rick model between the six and twelve string version.

At that price, most players just buy a 330.

And then there are those folks who actually prefer the round front 360 . . . ."Ooh, the sharp-edged binding on the front hurts my forearm..." :?:

1. What happens to the binding at the ramp? I see in photos it is not continued through the ramp. Does it look/feel natural and smooth as it comes to an abrubt end?

2. Has anyone ever had double-binding done to their stock 330? Would it be a very expensive project?
