newbie checking-in with 350 12/v63 question

Post by 350 »

Hello Ric guys, this being my very first post wanted to say thanks for including this old guy. i'm a child of the sixties who has now reached that age group - still young at-heart :D My very first guitar was a new (now very vintage) Gibson es330TD, and today i'm more a collector than a player; my first 12 string was a new Fender Villager - sorry i sold that a long time ago :( QUESTION: i came across what was explained to me to be a Ric that's now a bit rare (maybe collectable?) because it's out of production. I would like your knowledgeable opinion regarding fair price for a 'new' not ever previously sold/used 350 12/v63. I've not seen one on eBay to date. I've been captivated all these years since the sixties by the jangle but never owned a Ric... this would be my first. The finish on this particular 350 12 is natural maple; certainly beautiful but not flamey; again all new/original with 3 toaster pups and silver case; asking price w/tax approaching 2900.00. Thanks so much.

Welcome to the RRF! You've come to the right place regarding all things Rick. I'm a bass guy so I don't know a whole lot about guitars, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can answer your questions....

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Thanks much for the welcome :) Is there a section in the forum or website that might list original list prices on discontinued and other Ric models?

Hey Brian, YOU are the MAN!!! Thanks-a-million for pointing me in the right direction; i had no idea such a register existed :o If/when i'm able to negotiate a best price deal based on this terrific intelligence i'm guessing i'll be able to add my purchase info to the register; very cool.
