JetGlo - My First

Post by abluesky »

Awhile back, I started out my search for 50's Ric 1000 even thought I own an almost mint ES-16. Long story short, turns out the owner of the local wine shop also sells Ric guitars. After looking hi/low (with a reasonable price) for the tulip I realized he had the 57' 1000. Everything I own is the FG finish, which I am completely/100% fully addicted to that finish. Now, I have to admit, the JG is pretty darn cool. The local guitar shop had to reinforce the pickguard and output jack and install a new switch. It does have newer tuners, but damn that 50's toaster sounds good.

Another for me to add to the register.

Nice one Chris, congrats! Sounds like it was meant to be, finding it like that.

JG is indeed cool. 8)

Very nice score. As I said in another thread, there's just something about a solid color on a Rickenbacker...

Nice! Looks like you have a DeArmond pickup in there, which would be stock. Great sounding pickup. My black 56 400 has one like that and I love its brightness, even at the neck position!
