String selection on Susanna Hoffs' 350sh

Post by mcoming »

Just wondering if anyone knows what string set-up Susanna Hoffs uses when she plays her 350sh? Flat or round, and what gauge strings? Thanks!

With the pickups she's using, it's probably rounds. And with her being a rhythm guitarist, probably .011 gauge. Her 1966 325, on the other hand, is more than likely set up with flats.

Yeah.... I did notice that she had strings on her guitar. As you might guess, they weren't the centre of my attention, however!!

I have no idea what strings she uses on her guitars and I wouldn't hazard a guess. Suffice it to say that I use regular round 10-46s on my 350SH. :D

The Ric site sells Ricenbacker brand strings for a standard scale guitar that are 10p 13p 17p 26w 36w 46w - I am guessing this was the factory set up for the 350sh - but that is just a guess.

D'Addario EXL110 on the 350 models, and EXL150 on the 12-string models.

I'm not 100% sure what's on the 325s at the moment, but I can tell you that they're rounds with a plain 3rd, most likely D'Addario EXL115.

Susanna has to be the very best looking female in the music business. Between her and Shania Twain, they have beauty all locked up......too bad Shania doesn't play a Ric.
