Got the beast two days ago....

To be really honest, this head is a Tone monster!! I will buy the 410 Neo this week and post comments within a week. So far, with my Aguilar 212 cab, the Ric V63 of mine really shines like never before. The overdrive channel is simply to die for by adding just a bit of grind to the vintage channel. And, the warmth of an all tube head like this one is unbeatable in my opinion, ala SVT.

Rock on!

I am going back to all tube ! I will let you know how it turns out with my Ric basses !

For jams, a hartke 120 kickback. For show, Peavey mark 8 head and a Peavey single 15 (black widow).

I wonder how the Super Bassman would sound like through my 2-12 LDS cabinet. Coming down to Cleveland some time, Stephane?

Jeff,

I went there once on a conference. I wish I could go back soon. However, this monster tone would make my luggages a little heavier !

Honestly, this amp is excellent. I had the Aguilar TH500 and it just did not fit my personal taste.

I decided to go to all tube. I almost purchased 90's Ampeg SVT, however I found it noisy and the fan too loud. The Super Bassman has new technology, has two channels and weighs 15 pounds less. I believe that I will hold on to that amp for a while.

I've seen that. I don't think Ron can move it as it holds up that part of his house! 8)

Stephane, I'd like to try the Bassman 100T, as I hear it does hold up well in the volume department, and is a reasonable weight, too.

I had an excellent deal on a mint condition Super bassman so I decided to go for the monster instead, howevernI hear great reviews about the 100T as well. Basically, the one I bought is comparable to an SVT with 300 watts but modern technology. This amp is dead quiet !!! You can barely hear the fan going !!! Amazing design really. The 100T will be loud enough as well, but uses 6L6 tubes which may sound a little different. Try them !
