There's a hacked up 460 on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41439&item=3762776483) that got me thinking about my own ignorance (never a good thing for the old self esteem).
There are a couple of things that I'm wondering about these old 400 series guitars:
- Does anyone have a picture of the standard routing on a 450/460? I'm under the impression that the routing beneath the pickguard was more extensive than on a 600 series, but I don't know how big the original cavities are.
- Does anyone have pictures and/or a description of the standard bridge/tailpiece configuration and mounting for these guitars?
- Did the pickups screw to back side of the pickguard?
Thanks.

You want to put that where?
No pictures under the pickguard of the 1981 460 BG, but here is one of the bridge and bridge pickup area:
No promises, but if I get some spare time I'll see whether I can get some picture of the 450v63 under the pickguard; it's due for a new set of strings anyway.

It is better, of course, to know useless things than to know nothing. - Seneca
