Way to overlook the obvious GP magazine!!!!
Anyone else is a reader/subscriber to GP magazine? If you don't know already be prepared to be gravely disappointed in the latest issue's review of 12 strings. Ohh my, all I can do in this situation is apply the great SNL skit. "Really??? Really GP magazine?? You are the forerunner of publications in this area and you miss the most iconic 12 string ever made???? really?!?!?!?.. maybe GP stands for "Guitar Pretend we know what we are talking about"
o.k. I'm done now I just had to get that off my chest . carry on about your day

I just got the issue here at work. Now, to be fair, the article is titled "Ten New 12-String Guitars". And as we all know, RIC has been in the 12 string business since 1963.

Yeah, but GP hasn't been great lately anyway. I am moving over to PG and VG after my GP runs out.

You won't regret it, both are far superior to GP, any day of the week.bitzerguy wrote:Yeah, but GP hasn't been great lately anyway. I am moving over to PG and VG after my GP runs out.

It's fine here. You're discussing guitars. If RIC also made 12 string bass guitars, then I'd be inclined to move it to the general forum.fluffy wrote:oops, guess this could have gone in the general discussion thread. If any Mods are so inclined please feel free to put it in the appropriate forum.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: Way to overlook the obvious GP magazine!!!!
Guitar Player was best during the Jim Crockett era in the mid to late 1970s. I still subscribe but Vintage Guitar is superior as well as Guitar and Bass Magazine.

IF the article title was " 10 new 12 strings "
then it totally makes sense.. new 12 strings..
did they have the new Gretsch Electromatic 5422 12 string? that looks interesting.. at abt $800 !

I got the chance to try one of those out at Cream City Music, a few weeks a go. It was a nice playing guitar!Ric_MEL wrote:IF the article title was " 10 new 12 strings "
