Not something I listen to now (but I do still have the soundtrack on vinyl!) If I'm not very much mistaken that is a classic Ric tone!
...can't find it on youtube (all piano dominated), please specify further!
Try doing a search for "Emanuelle", there's only a couple of tracks on there (opening & closing numbers for the film). The opening score is a piano instrumental with bass and light drums/guitar backing.
I found nothing with "Emanuelle", but with the extra 'M' I found the clip you were refering to:
That's definitely a line-in Rick, alright! And for those "faint at heart", this is a pretty well-mannered clip. Just a few nude photos shown discreetly in the middle for all of about 10 seconds.

All albums by The Jam, especially the first two, 'In the City' and 'This is the Modern World'.
I've been listening a lot to the first Rush album, really like it, the mix, the guitar and bass tones, drums, everything.
Rickenbacker 330 Jetglo
Rickenbacker 4003s/5 White
Mesa Rectoverb Head
Mesa Standard Rectifier 4x12 cabinet
Mesa Rocket 44 Combo amp
What tuneage do I listen to, when I want to hear a Ric? Hmmm, lemme think.
Clean & Chimey - "Fall on Me" by R.E.M.
Trippy 12-String - "Eight Miles High" by the Byrds of course!
Snarling Punk - The Jam, with "Private Hell" and "News Of The World" being my favorites
For something a bit heavier, The Smithereens
Now, if I want metal Ric guitar tones, I pretty much have to roll my own! It's too bad in a way, because Rics can grind with the best of them! Here's something I did on the fly last week.
Regarding the bass that Geddy used on the first album - if it was a Fender, wasn't he playing a Jazz before their label gave them an instrument budget and he got the Rick? But aside from that, check out the brief bass break at 2:05. Sounds a lot like a 4001 to my ear.
Ellen - nice demo of a Rick's metallic capabilities! For other good metallic Rick tones, Babes In Toyland and Fugazi have been some of my faves:

Thanks!
And while I've heard both Fugazi and Babes in Toyland (I remember when they came on the scene in the late 80s or early 90s - I thought at the time that it was great to see another woman playing the heavy stuff on guitar, and not just being a prop on stage), I think I may need to re-aquaint myself with both bands tuneage.
BTW, in one of my old bands we used to play "In the Mood" by Rush, and were working up "Bastille Day" before the band called it quits. I've been listening to Rush since 1977 or 78. Regarding heavy bass stuff - Lemmy always comes to mind, be it with Motorhead, or Hawkwind.
Oh, yeah, and I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Cliff Burton's neat little solo off of KIll 'em All - "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth". I remember hearing it for the first time in 1984. At the time, other than Iron Maiden, I was totally into 70s hard rock, with a little country rock for good measure. I was like totally "what the.....?" IIRC, for the first two Metallica albums, Cliff played a 4003. I had a chance to see Cliff play it live in late 1984 at a club that catered to up and coming bands, when I was attending the University of WIsconsin, for my first Engineering degree. But, I had an electronics lab class the night of the show. By the time the lab finished, I figured it was too late to make it to the show on time (I thought it was sold out). I found out the next day, that plenty of tickets were left, and that not only did Metallica do songs off of "Kill 'em All", and Cliff play his bass solo, but they also did tunes off of "Ride The Lighting", which had just been released! I could have kicked myself!

Well I'll be damned! There goes THAT illusion! This whole time I thought that was a Rick on the first album. But the sound similarity between a 4001 and a P at least makes more sense than a Jazz. And now watching the 'Beyond The Lighted Stage' documentary again, I think it's Alex that states that they didn't get their instrument budget until AFTER they recorded their first album.
Great example of Lemmy's early Rick on that Motorhead cut. And yes - gotta have the Cliff solo on a Rick bass sound sampler!
It was the very early 70's; my college friend had a quality Hi-Fi, he cranked up the volume and played Astral Traveler. I wanted to know who the band was and who was playing the bass, then soon after what bass he was playing.
Desperately trying to put a youtube clip of the said song, tried every version of pasting the movie ID between the youtube brackets with no luck so link only.
