I just received the Bass few minutes ago from Chris and wow !!!! The grain on the wood is absolutely wonderful, never seen one like that, either a 4003, 4001 or a V63. The Bass is in immaculate condition !!! The neck is perfectly shaped, not as round or "baseball bat" profile like the newer 4003's.
Thanks Chris and I recommend you to anyone in the Forum !!!

Hi Steph, I'm teasing, the Maple is lovely, especially on the neck.

Awww....I kinda feel like Santa Claus.......except for the $$$ , of course!!

I really liked that one Stephane, but something had to go to make room for a new amp......and I just couldn't get rid of the fireglo....

I know she's found a good home...

Thanks again!

Chris,

I finally got to try her this evening. I put fresh Rotosound Bass strings on hanging around ( after usind Dean Markley Blue steels exclusively for 15 years ), just to give a shot to the Rotosound strings, and my ears were totally amazed by the pure and distinct Tone that was coming out of my Amp !!!! The Tone was like "piano tone" and I was impressed by the deep and the sustain the Bass has.

And, the neck, finally, the great neck on the V63 !!!

I had a V63 in the past ( but sold it ), and comparing the two, I can say that this one is to stay with me this time and for a long time.

Chris installed a set of Pyramid Flatwound strings on it a month ago and I removed them immediately. If someone is interested to get the set from me, please email and we will arrange something really quick. Let me know !
