If that were mine I'd hang it on the wall and stare at it all day! :D

Makes me want to play bass, and I don't say that too often.

Superb. :D

Thanks ! Paul's right. The sound is unlike anything I expected from a fretless. If it wasn't for the fretless intonation from my playing, you would be hard pressed to know it was one. I haven't stopped playing it since I got it. I can't believe I waited 38 years of bass playing to get a fretless....

I seem to remember (could be a weird Oxycodone nightmare) that Gareth decided to go fretless after playing with my fretless Shadow a bit...true, Gareth or is my weirded-out brain making this up???

Very nice looking fretless. Kudos. The black with the aqua works.

A little from column A and a little from column B I think. I'd never laid eyes on a 4003FL in person, but I was sort of thinking about it for the build as I wanted something a little different this time around. After playing that Shadow though it was an easy choice. I probably wouldn't have done it if I hadn't played your shadow that's for sure.....

Firstly,Wow,just beautiful,i have never really cared much for blue guitars, but this aquaburst is just stunning, (as is Kira's 2050 bass...)
2ndly,if i am understanding this correctly, this bass was originally fretted, and Paul has replaced the entire fretboard? nice! ( which also is giving me ideas regarding my cii.....which i think might make a superb fretless.)
Which leads me to ask...are the fb dots on this in the "usual" fl Ric position,or on the fretline(s)?
Congrats to both artist and owner!

Just to keep Gareth on his toes, they are in their usual "fretted" positions, as are the top markers as well...
