Intro to your forum

Post by Aclempoppi »

Just wanted to say that I am new to your forum. Didn't see a spot for profiles: been a tube amp tech for 25yrs, six-string acoustic and electric player for 50+yrs, Blues band in Chicago area for 20+ yrs, only play at church now. Snagged a new 360 12-string last may, hadn't played one since '68. So, If I can observe and ask simple questions now and again, that would be cool !!! Oh yeah, is there a dedicated 12-string place, I need to go to? Thanks and don't mean to bore you folks!!! Art

Welcome, Arthur! We're glad to have you join in the festivities. Check the main index page - there are a lot of sub-fora and sub-sub-fora. Can you manage to post a photo of your 360/12 for us? We love photos- or Rickenporn, as some have called it. Stick around! :)

Welcome Arthur!

Typically, if someone posts a thread in a section that is less than ideal for the subject matter, readers of the thread will suggest what section or subsection it would fit better in, so don't be afraid to post.

Hi Art, welcome to the RRF. :) To answer your original question - 12 strings typically go in the Guitars forum.

By the top there is a link to the User Control Panel. When there, click on the Profile tab, then Edit Avatar. There, you can size a picture to 100 x 100 pixels and upload it and it will be your avatar. And let me also extend a welcome.

A good free picture resizing tool is PIXresizer. Get it at http://download.cnet.com/

Harvard IL, hey? I lived in Crystal Lake back in the '70s and before that I built all of the floats for the Milk Day parade from '66-70. Bought my second Chevy Nomad wagon in Harvard, too, back in '68...what does this have to do with Rickenbackers? Well, you own one, and so do I... :?
