Schaller - thank you for the black strap pins

Post by asm_12 »

I wanted to post a very short thank you to Schaller Germany. I recently acquired a natural finished 610 (with some remaining black hardware). One strap pin was missing and having looked on eBay and different web sites, the only alternative appeared to be buying a set of black locking strap pins threaded for the Rickenbacker. However, these weren't available either. I wrote to Schaller on the off chance that they had some in stock (and presuming that they'd made that component) and received a response immediately from the Managing Director. A few weeks later the black Rickenbacker threaded strap pins arrived (free of charge) packaged with some picks. I have to say how impressed I was with Schaller's service and how highly I appreciate this gesture.

The replacement chrome R-tailpiece was powder coated satin black by a local company, also without any hassle. The match is pretty good.

Best wishes

PS: I don't have any business or other connections with Schaller, agents or retailers.

They're on UK eBay every now and then, actually.
