New Bass Day!!!!!!!!

Post by Lefty4003S8 »

This past Friday, I took delivery of the newest edition to my bass family.....a Rick 4001v63 PMC.

This bass is THE coolest bass I have seen in my life so far!!!!!! I have been on cloud nine ALL weekend.
It is in DEAD MINT condition, and is absolutely STUNNING!!!!!!
( I am positive that THIS bass is the one I lost the opportunity to purchase recently when it was on Ebay )

Thanks to a couple of Forumites, I received a second chance at it. Thank You guys!!!!!!

The reason I wanted this bass SO badly????? Like all or most members here, I dream of owning/playing an RM1999.
Chris Squire's bass, and his sound is what drew me to Rickenbackers in the first place.
RM 1999's are HARD to find as it is......but finding a Lefty version????? NEVER!!!!! It most likely doesn't exist!!!!

SO......this is the closest I can come to having one----(Thinking of finding/dropping a vintage magnetized HS in it)

I have some pics. Is anyone willing to help me post them to this thread?????

Do you want instructions on how to attach photos or do need assistance in getting them sized to post, etc.?

I guess a lot of us owners of vintage reissues feel something like this, even without the added difficulty of hunting down a Lefty. I certainly do, including the attraction to Squire's sound.

Looks great!
