All tube is the way to go !
I've got 300W of Ampeg goodness, but now you have me thinking of this Fender head...... I'd have to buy one and have it shipped to the local GC just to try it out.

If you can, try one. U will dig the overdrive channel with the Ric !

The Ampeg SVT are also pure glory tone for Ric. However, having tried both, I prefer the Fender hands down.

I run the neck pickup into an Ampeg SVPCL, then a dbx 120a, and into an Ampeg SVT-300 tube power amp.

Bridge pickup goes into an SWR IOD (cranked Vox AC30 in a preamp) with Peavey Valverb in the effects loop. and then into the same SVT-300.

I use a variety of customized Carvin cabs.

SVT-7PRO with a 610HLF cab.

Very meaty and articulate output with all dials opened up on the Ric.

I'm thinking of how a Rick sounded through Jeff Scott's blond Fender combo (Princeton?) at Gilfest II. If it is anything like that but with stage power, wow.

I like a Marshall MB450H amp driving Avatar 210 cabinets. It can be bright like a SWR or scooped tube like an ampeg. It can handle 2ohm loads. Another amp I like is an Ashdown MAG 600 for some deep bass [with 10s].

Yorkville 400B and an SWR triad cabinet with no gizmos at my feet except for a DI once in a while. Love the depth and clarity these units have together.

Just ordered a used Acoustic 260 mini stack from GC for $150.00 I can't wait for it to get here so I can split my Pickups between it and my Acoustic B100 I'll post some pics when it arrives   best bet would be Bridge p/u for the 10" and neck for the 15" right???
♪♫♪♫I need new strings, these ones have a bunch of dang wrong notes on 'em ♫♪♫♪
