I love the body shape. And as much antipathy as I have for blue guitars in general Paul keeps making me want to change my mind with these.

That 480 is gorgeous! I'll bet it's even better in person...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

My guess is that the (factory) router bit took a chunk out of the tip and it was sanded rounder to eliminate the flaw.

And the lower bout looks a tad flattened also.

Actually just happening to the left in the photo. It was pretty clear, so I didn't get the incredible colours that happen with a bit of cloud on the horizon. That would have been too perfect a shot... but no luck this weekend. :( There will be others...

Or posing suggestively with another Rickenbacker guitar of the same model.

Paul and Dean -- this Double Bound Burgundy with the checkered bound headstock is totally awesome !!! Beautiful pictures of a beautiful guitar. Congratulations to you both ! ! :D :D :D

Now I can't decide which color is my favorite: Paul's Translucent Burgundy or that nice 480-Blue you posted last week ! ! !

480? I only saw a blue 4003FL bass recently - was there a blue 480 as well? :?:

Werner, once you have had a Model 480 you can never get it out of your mind. :!:
