Peter, you're linking to page 2 of this thread... I don't see any pictures there! Canadian confusion!

I remember my 480... wish I'd never sold it, or I'd be saving for Paul's magic for it! One day, when I win the 100 million lottery

Sorry Werner. I must have done a 480. This is what I get when I go to the link.

Translucent blue 480? Paul's? RIC special?

Well, once again there's been a substantial time as I find myself buried in basses...no fewer than 11 in the works at various stages, and many of them waiting for chrome or parts. Chrome came in about three weeks ago and I am bust buffing, detailing, and assembling.

Here's the first to be completed...Joshua's RED 2007 4003, which got a complete makeover from its AFG 4-string originality. It's now a 5 string, as you can see, with a recessed Kahler bridge and a 3/2 tuner configuration, which has a straighter pull on the A string than the 2/3. This bass also has Rick humbucker pickups with the coils wired in parallel, in both positions and Hipshot lightweight tuners.

Love the way the details set off against that ultra red! The white and chrome really pop in the photos!
