I think you misunderstand me. It's the first 12 string guitar Rickenbacker ever made, and the only 12 string to leave the factory with conventional string pairs. Wether it was the first electric 12 string guitar in the world is irrelevant to the signifigance in Rickenbacker history of the Arden guitar. It's like putting stickers and active pickups on a 1959 Les Paul and playing it in a punk rock band.

Now see here I disagree to me modding a 59 LP as you say to play in a punk band would not be as bad as you are doing so for a actual musical reason... vs doing something out of hero worship.. /ducks/

I think modding that Arden Rick was silly too. I would have left it as is and perhaps put another 360/12 set up like George's to show people the difference or something like that.

Then you have some history and perspective while still showing Beatle guitars.

Well the images and description for the first instrument are pretty slim. There's only one small-sized photo of the actaul bass (covered in watermarks) followed up with a photo of McCartney with his bass.

For instruments of this provinence I would reccomended a thorough photoshoot with a professional photographer with some sensibly placed watermarks and high-resolution image downloads.

There is also a wealth of information about the instrument that needs to be expanded upon if the website is positioning itself as a definitive guide for gear used by The Beatles.
