A few anticlimaxes without an own opinion:

The owner(s) of the guitar can do whatever they want with that. Even if some do not like - they are able to do so.
- On the opposite the arguments why they did so are not real arguments. It could have been done faster, better, cheaper and more authentic by using any other 360/12 than that one.

Maybe here is one better argument: It is about egos, the whole thing (maybe on both sides!).
Hey, maximum attention for 40.000$! - All this was not done to get a paying crowd. Money was payed to make a crowd paying attention.
Why not, other people buy Ferraris for that, these cost hundredfold more money!

But: If this Guitar is the holy grail and so important: RIC didn't bought it, right? - Why?

I am sure in a few years this will be back on the market, a few bucks more and just added by one more chapter of weird history.
- Then we will talk about an investment and a good deal: A saved and "right" restored (not modded!) #1 will be risen in value so much...

Another question, Have you had any luck in finding a vintage lefty 4001S? Or are you just going to use a PMC?

Some guys buy Harleys.

Some guys do this.

And SOME guys do THIS:

And even he got it upside down!

I think there is an inverse relationship involved here, but I'll be nice and stop right there.

Yes........I don't quite follow either? Do you mean HAMAD has something to do with not the Beatles gear website? Who is this HAMAD guy and where do you even buy a pen thing that size, that will etch on the land and the sea? And come to think about it. Even if you could have a pen that big, how could you hold it? I'm going to have to lie down JDog.......I'm getting a headache......so much to think about.

Yeah, this whole thing is bizarre.

It's all just strangely comical.
- take an historical piece and turn it into a replica of something else;
- the very idea of displaying Beatle guitars that were never in the hands of a Beatle;
- huge watermarks covering the very details of what you want to show...
I swear I am waiting for an "April Fools" to pop up.

In all honesty, if this whole thing were an April Fools joke It would be viewed as brilliant and you'd get a heap of praise. Take Ric 12 #1 and make it a George? Now that's one heck of an eleaborate and fantastic April Fools prank.

This is much better as an April fool hoax (funnier and more subtly):

If I had to start a website, I'm afraid the best I'd be able to do would be Rutlesgear.com. :(

Nice photo though. I like the composition and the industrial setting.
