Sheesh - I love 325 style guitars - they have a clean tone that is just magic with the tb channel of an ac30 and they distort so organically. They are amazing. The new 330s are some of the best around hand made instruments available. And what's not to love with a 620 plugged into a cranked amp! Rickys are awesome and you don't need to just play Beatles tunes.

I don't have any recordings, but when I was in college in 1980-1982, I played my 320 in jazz band. I also tune it up to a "terz" tuning of G#-D#-B-F#-C#-G# using 9-11-17w-22w-30w-40w on occasion to get a unique chimey voice for certain songs.

IDK - at the OP - I ask what aren't rickenbackers for? Seriously! A good 300 series or 600 series Ricky can jangle but it can seriously rock hard. A 330 through a cranked Marshal is kind of awesome!

It's been a long time and in the past I've played a 355JL 360, 330 and a 360/12
I would love to get a 1997 reissue. At this time I have a Fender Telecaster but I'm
want another guitar and I'm looking at another 360 or a 330 or a 350V63. When I
played in a band with my friends all of us late 50's to mid 60's I played a 360 for
all kinds of music and the funny thing is we didn't play any Beatles. I was using the
Rickenbacker for songs like Midnight Hour, On The Road Again, Stuck in the Middle
with you. So you can use a Rickenbacker for other styles of music Tom Petty does
and just play what you want to play.

I owned a 650d in the past and just picked up a 360mg after being RIC-less for a couple years.
I play in a blues and classic rock band..,..my 360 can do anything. T is a killer.ead guitar and I can haul a$$ on it. Blink 182 is not my cup often, but yes Rics can do that. They can do anything....heck, even Beatles/Byrds tunes wink, wink.

I play heavy blues....crank your Ric up. I played mine last night through a dimed 18 watt Marshall. Rock and roll.

Rics can only do rhythm, or play clean jangly stuff? Yeah, right! I made this sound clip a few weeks ago with my 360, to show that they're even capable of doing the metal tones.

Just an hour ago, I was raging away on some old school thrash metal (Flotsam and Jetsam) with my 360. Hi-Gains sound great overdriven. Set the EQ on your amp up right, and they'll hang with any so called "lead" guitar, or "metal" guitar. Stereotypes are made to be broken. Don't forget, when Hendrix played Strats in 1967, "everybody knew that Strats are only good for playing surf guitar." That kind of thinking, is what results in lame-o clone bands, who play boring music, because they assume that they have to have a certain look, play certain gear, and only play a certain way, which results in the same old same old musically, which gets boring. Rics are so underrated in the versatility department.
