Just wanted to show everyone some pictures of my latest edition. The wife wasn't too thrilled, but I just bought her a new house! Anyway, enjoy:

Before I get going, yes it does have walnut headstock wings (they're fairly light) and has the maple/walnut/maple sandwich on the body wings. I just love the flame on the back!

Rob, beautiful bass! Is that a new model or an early one?

Looks to have an unfinished fingerboard like mine.

Scott,

It's a 2004, and you are correct, it has an unfinished fingerboard. The basses inside the vintage silver cases are my 99 Fireglo 4001v63 and my 92 4001CS. The green 4004Cii brings my Rick total now to six.

Ron,

So that's what you traded in the midnight blue 4003 for? It's a lovely bass.

BTW, I tried out your old 4003 last week and liked it. I was tempted to put flats and a toaster on it until Russ pulled out his v63. I made him an offer on it and he turned me down. I'm looking for something with vintage pickups in it. Guess I'll keep on looking.

Ron,

Russ and I talked about this on Friday. Give him a call, and I think that he may be receptive to an offer. Yeah, I really enjoyed that MID 4003, but when a 95 4003 MID w/black trim was available over the web, it was an easy decision to part with the other MID 4003. You should see the 4004Cii in person, it really is a lovely shade of green. I'm most happy with it.

Ron,

On which bass may he be receptive to an offer?
