XTC - What is this bass?

Used to listen to them a lot back in the 80's and early 90's. First heard them when Drums and Wires came out. Loved Making Plans For Nigel. Around the time of Oranges and Lemons and Nonsuch I lost interest in them. They always had a great sound. Dear God was a huge hit back when alternative music was still palatable.
