Yes Woody, it does have the new neck. BIG difference over my 2005 4004Cii Blurburst I used to have. This one is a keeper. LOL, when Janey likes a bass, it tends to stay for SOME reason.

The action on this one is nice and low. Even the base plate that normally comes on the bridge is gone. NOT something I was able to do on the 2005.
It came from the dealer this way, and when I inquired, he said it arrived from the Namm show/Factory this way. IMHO, a HUGE difference over the 2005.

Joey, my point was why take such beautiful wood grain, with a very cool Walnut sandwich and cover it up with Jetglo paint? I can understand it on plain wood, but the 4004cii is usually made from some beautiful grained wood. In other words, use UGLY KNOTTED WOOD!

I actually kinda like Jetglo with gold trim, it looks cool. Just not for me!

I'm sure RIC used plainer looking maple to make the Jetglo Cii's because they know that some people think JETGLO ROCKS!. Yes, the gold hardware does look nice against the black. Better in person than in photos.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Tony,

So this is the 4004 Cii that Chris was telling me about? Very nice!! He told me the action was "in the weeds" a car slang term for being very low. :D I have a feeling my Cii will be as low once Chris works his "magic".

Speaking of 4004's, I checked Chris' 4004Cii Trans red which really looks like ruby! Very sweet with the unfinished fretboard. I love that look!! While the neck profile is wider, being an older 4004. it looked like a super bass to play and own.

Blurburst - the fade is so gradual it is hard to see. Opposite of ClownGlo.
