Matchbox 20 Ric

Post by marc61 »

I'm wondering if this was made for Matt Beck. He's local to me and I'm pretty good friends with his stepdad

A very special 330 came off the line today for a very special band. Matchbox Twenty will now have a matchless RIC 330 JG to play with. A lefthand guitar but with righthand stringing and Nashville tuning. It is a truly unique instrument especially designed for producing the sounds that can only be made by a Rickenbacker.

You might ask Ben about this one. He was showing it off on facebook recently. It's a new custom build for I forget whom.

The quote in my post is from the FB post. I just assume it was made for Matt because he's lefty.

Is he one of those lefties who plays his guitar strung righty (i.e., with the bass strings at the bottom), a la Albert King?
