Groovy Beatles pictures
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
"If you're gotta to make a fool of somebody" .....................................................
If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody is a 1961 song by James Ray. The Beatles covered it live in 1962. No recording of The Beatles playing it has been heard by the public. However, a tape, recorded in Mid-1962 at The Cavern Club, was auctioned off. It contained this song. The public may never hear it, as Paul McCartney bought the tape and it was not issued on The Beatles Anthology, leading some to believe it is of poor quality. http://beatleswiki.org/wiki/If_You_Gott ... f_Somebody[/youtube]

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
oh yea...
"Bad to Me" is a song John Lennon wrote (credited to Lennon–McCartney) for Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas while on holiday in Spain. Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas released their recording of the song in 1963 and it became their first #1 UK hit. Paul McCartney was present during the recording session at Abbey Road Studios. The single would be released in the USA the following year, and become a top-ten hit there, reaching number 9. It became the first Lennon–McCartney composition to reach the US Top 40 for an artist other than the Beatles.
that version you posted is artificially sped up......

as the youtube comment says
"I love the very slight grins on George & Paul's faces when they realize John has forgotten the lyrics and they try to steer him back... great video!"

I'll bet you a nickel that this "Beatle Guitar" was based on the Micky Mouse/Mouseketeer's "guitar" from the '50s. Notice the back view and the front facade.

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
I don't believe anybody has posted this yet but this is for all you skaters out there. It seems John is taking a break on the set of HELP while Paul is riding in the late late late 70s early 80s with incredible surf style!
