I am currently 19, and I just put down a deposit on a 360/12C63. I'm a huge Harrison fan, so it's the one I have to have... I've been playing a Strat for a few years, but I can't wait for the RIC, and I'm about to order a Gretsch Tennessean as well, after a long summer of working Image.

i guess i'm a little late to this thread

I'm 20, inherited my fathers '79 Mapleglo 4001 that has been a case queen most of its life so he was always pretty protective of it, and I can see why. I'm definitely addicted to Ric's now =)

I'm 18, and I've been a Rickenthusiast (Did I just coin that? Great word! ::self high five:Image for 4 years. I currently only own two, a WHITE (we're talking blinding, here) '91 330/6 and a 650D. Wouldn't trade them for anything, with the exception of better Rickenbackers.

I got my first Rick, a 360, this summer, at age 21. Could've been faster, I guess...

I was 20 when I put money down on my first Rickenbacker, a 360/12 CW Fireglo. Of course, that was after four years of drooling at the case of Rickenbackers in the House of Guitars. They used to say when I walked in "Ahh, he has come to pay homage to the Richenbacker Shrine."

The thing is, I still walk in and look there first. Always. I guess you can never be too young, too old, or have too many Rickenbackers.
"Here he is, come to pay homage to the Rickenbacker display!" (Said to me by owner Bruce at the "Great House of Guitars" in Rochester, NY)

House of Guitars in Rochester, NY? I know that shrine well. And it does get updated periodically, too. I especially like the cut-away Ricks that you can handle yourself. A real good look at how a 360 is constructed.

Meet my young Rickenbacker playing friends:
Liam with his '01 381V69 FG and Pink with his '01 4003FG. They were both 18 when they got their Ricks.

Brand new Ricks, baby!

They asked for Ricks to record for their 1st album. As there was (still is) no RIC dealers in my country where Ricks are rare as hen's teeth, I flew to Japan and bought the guitar and bass for them in 2001. They paid for the Ricks with their record advance. I must say owning and playing a Rick when one's young is a blessing.
