I had my SWR Baby Blue II amp, not seen here. What you see is Percy's SWR Workingman's 15 (new style). I usually use the WW amp on outdoor gigs where I need the extra power.
Percy told me that this is what Ibanez gave him recently. It is made from mahogany and has only piezo pickups in the bridge, no magnetic pickups, plus a two band EQ. The string spacing is wider than any other Ibanez as he needs the wider spacing to do his three finger plucking. The previous Ibanez was one of those Luthite, plasticy things that he was not really fond of; he says this bass is much warmer sounding. He had the magnetic pickup removed on the older bass as he only uses the piezo pickup, so it looked odd with the empty cavity in the body.
I agree that is not the best looking body shape!
