Cheap 12 string acoustic recommendations?

Post by jholcomb »

I've come to the conclusion that I now need a 12 string acoustic to bang around on...I don't want to spend big bucks on something that I'll use mostly on the front porch. Any recommendations?

Absolutely. I would seriously consider the Garrison 12 string line. A great guitar for the price. Plently of sustain and set up properly they are a dream to play. A very unique type of construction as well.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I played a couple of Garrisons last Winter at a vintage guitar show and was very impressed.

Funny, a friend of mine who is a dealer in Canada told me about Garrison just last week...I'm going to have to check them out.

Years ago I had a Washburn 12 string I picked up new for a little over $200. I loved that guitar.

The Washburn D10S12 is a an Excellent bargain. Solid spruce top. It retails for $419.90 but can be had for much less at a dealer.
