Finally, my very own 4001

Post by YukonCor55 »

Struggled with this decsion for awhile. I was torn between this one and a new MG 4003. The VERY competitive pricing on the new 4003's made it even more difficult. I always said if I ever found a clean Ric Bass in either Autumn Glo or Montezuma Brown, I'd go for it. Time for me to put up or shut up! In the end, those subtle brown tones and vintage mojo won me over. So here it is:

Gorgeous Autumn Glo! Congratulations.

This looks like a genuine, bonafide ATG with the matte finish and black TRC.

If I'm not mistaken the same color with a gloss finish was called Walnut Glo.

I have a '77 4001 ATG that is one of my faves! I love the sound of these mid-70's 4001's.
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .
