My new '72 Fireglo 4001

Post by sys700 »

Many of you liked the photos of my new '71 4001 I posted a few weeks back. Well, this '72 showed up on eBay this week and I just had to buy it. I know it has a skunk stripe, but there aren't that many out there in this condition.

Unfortunately I had to sell some things I didn't want to sell to get it, but I think it was worth every penny. One of the cleanest I've seen, and one of the richest shades of FireGlo, probably the best looking of my 3 basses (71, 72, 73). The action is amazing, and it sounds great! Enjoy! (PS: No, my Tardis is not for sale).

Wow, that's Rick-O-Porn fur sure! It's in beautiful condition, checker binding, full width crushed pearl inlays, 1/2 inch toaster and a skunk stripe (I personally prefer 'em with the stripe)!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Yes, I like FireGlo. :-) Photos were taken with an iPhone, no flash. It really seems to capture the colors faithfully.
