New factory models?

Post by JohnDOe94 »

I was just on the "official" Rickenbacker facebook site (I don't know if it's the real oneor if there's a real one) and there are some basses like this one https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/ ... 8745_n.jpg which don't look like like the standard colors and features like ruby, vintage knobs, etc but with new push-pull potis. I'm confused and thrilled! What do you think?

The bass in the link you posted is a "one-off" bass. RIC occasionally does one-offs and photos of many examples are posted on the RIC FB page.

And, in case you're wondering, the official RIC corporate Facebook page can be found here:

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

One-off means the factory only made one of them.

Usually they're sold directly to te public via eBay.
