Looks like Mike Parks at the Rickenbacker Page still has both guitar and bass toasters in stock:

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Thanks for the lead, he has some nice stuff on there. However, I am not sure I want to pay a $30 premium for my impatience. I guess I will wait a while and continue to try to coax the sound a little more.

Call Mike and tell him that, maybe he'll make you a deal. He's definitely a good guy to work with...

CJ,

I talked to Mike and while he didn't really have any wiggle room, he came across as such a nice guy and spent a bunch of time on the phone with me so I went ahead and ordered from him.

Should be at my house by Saturday, should be jangling away by Sunday night ! ! !

Thanks,
Harry

Personality goes a long way. :D

Mike is very popular here and I have been a customer of his for 8 years. It is a real shame that he's no longer an official dealer.
