Three cheers for Nick Beggs!
See and hear his excellent playing on the new Steven Wilson concert DVD "Get All You Deserve." He mostly plays a Spector bass and Chapman Stick, but he plays a Rickenbacker (4003?) on a couple tracks.
He's covered a lot of ground in his career (see Kajagoogoo).

Outstanding show last month at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA. Great music and stellar playing all around. For me the visuals during "The Watchmaker" and Guthrie Govan's guitar playing were especially memorable. So was the opener, "Luminol," which has a very powerful section in the middle. We were all plastered to our seats during that.
No Rickenbacker for Nick Beggs that night, but he played Stick and was sounding massive on a few different Spectors.
That was my first time at Keswick, which is a neat old place. The staff - ushers and ticket-takers - were the most genuinely friendly I have ever seen at a theater.
