Jaimy/Ted:

Bingo! May 1975, I believe. Okay, Jaimy, name your requirements bass pickup-wise.

You want an early 70s-style treble high-gain pickup? Okay. Since the distance between the E and G strings over the treble p.u. on 4001/4003 basses tends to vary (albeit not much), please let me know said distance on the particular bass you plan to use the pickup on.

it is going to go on the project bass(the one being painted union jack)...it is a 77-ish...Surprise me...if you have the aluminium plate for it, that would be stellar!!!

My friend who owns the bass is very busy right now(he owns The Bass Emporium here in Austin)and he'll probably get serious about it after the new year. Don't worry, when something happens y'all will know.
