Re: Advice, mounting HB1 in bridge position

My 4001 and 4003 both have 4001 wiring spec: 250K Volume and 500K tone. I built up the 4003 wiring harness myself, with orange drop caps and CTS pots.

I currently have my HB-1 in the neck position of the 4003, but would I get a better sound with more overall beefiness AND growl, if I put the HB-1 to the bridge, and the 11k hi gain back to the neck? Having read this thread, it seems that 250K vol pots may not be appropriate for an HB1. So would it best to change up just the volume pot for the HB1 to say 500K, and leave the hi-gain volume pot at 250k?

Apologies to those who also see this question in another forum!

The volume for the HB1 should indeed be 500K, while the tone cap should be .022uF.
