The Bing on-line translator reverts it back as:

''I'd let the opportunity to someone else. These cracks, even benign, are also apparent as the balls of a dog.''

Disclaimer: Any spelling mistake in the last sentence is the sole responsibility of Bing.

Wow, the language has suddenly deteriorated here! That should be "dog's balls".
Funny, since this bass is definitely not the dog's ********. Or the mutt's nuts, for that matter.

Definitely avoid! That is NOT what I surmised from the OP! As already said, yes, that's from damage other than weather checking. AVOID!

How can you guys tell from the picture that it is from stress and not weather checking? What is the tell tale sign?

For one thing, that's a classic area and sign for a mis-hap.

The spyder lines mostly radiate from the edge of the nut.

The nut is in crooked, and they used to be put on before the CV so they had shiny sides and seamless appearance. Not sure lately.
