Yes, there's a older thread detailing the woes of a Forumite's dealing with the Roman Mod and subsequent problems with the guitar and Mr. Ed (Roman, that is).
Anybody try a 380L?

Just to be clear, I agreed with Ed conclusion that the guitar neck is a bit unwieldy. That’s where our agreement ends, because my solution would be to play a different guitar, his solution is a router. If ever I have a bright idea for a mod, I just think back to my brother’s first guitar, a 1979 Fender Strat. The college years mods: 1. Floyd Rose trem system added (they had to cut the top of the truss rod to install the nut), 2. He also routed the body for a clever "sliding volume" (like a mixing board slide). 3. Someone poorly installed massive frets and did not file the edges. I would rather play my whisker than that guitar.
Like most things in the guitar world, the feel of a guitar's neck is a matter of preference. I love the feel of the 380L neck. Acres and acres of room to move around in and it's super fast to boot. The only time I haven't been able to get my small hands into position was when I was playing some bizarro slash chords well up the neck. Fingerpicking and lead playing is just superb.
