One sad sight on the Bay

Didn't see a thread on this one, so apologize if it is already being discussed. This 4001 on the Bay is in really sad shape.

A bad fall possibly?

Could be fixed, but look how the neck has bowed behind the neck pickup routing. Here is a borrowed picture.

That 3 piece neck seems to be in ,well,3 pieces.... :cry:

If it fell to cause THAT where's the impact zone? I think this somehow worked itself apart under bad conditions!

That is what I thought too, but there doesn't appear to be rust on anything?

I think it spent some time in a hot storage locker. The glue softened, the laminations moved, then set again.
