John, did Ted ever mention anything about sending it elsewhere for work?

Unfortunately, he has not posted here in three years.

I was told it was shipped to a refinisher, but the refinisher never got it and wasn't aware that it was being sent per his email to me.

I still have no idea what this thread is about. Like you let someone "borrow" it and can't remember who?
Come on Jason. I'm not that absent minded. :-)

Respect my desire not to make an accusation here. I just want the bass back, or to know what happened to it so I can file a claim, and would appreciate any help that can be provided.

Ted does not post here anymore but Paul Boyer does and seems to know him (both near Chicago). Also mentioned in the restoration thread is Dale Fortune who others know how to get ahold of.

So did Ted supposidly sent it to Dale for refinish and it supposidly never arrived? I would PM Paul Boyer for help in tracking these guys down.

If there was any monkey business going on, I truly doubt it was Ted. That's just my 2 cents worth.

I'm workin' on it. Not the bass, just trying to help figure out what happened to it.

What a narsty sitaution John. :(

I would feel extremely violated in this kind of scenario. :?

I hope if anyone is in the position to retrieve this for you, they have the testicular fortitude to make it happen.

In the meanwhile I'll continue to pray for a Xmas miracle . . .
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

Quite simply, I'm amazed such a valuable instrument could just disappear and everyone involved seemingly has no idea where it is.

BTW, I'm not including you in that sentence John!

There needs to be some definitive resolution and serious accountability here.

Didn't "The Refinisher" have some legal problems a year or two back?
