Steve, thanks for the update. I can hardly wait! "Hallways and staircases every day ..."
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Well.....here we are, almost a week into '13. I've been lurking and looking. Seems like no news, yet. Anything to report, Steve?

We're working hard to wrap things up. The difference between being 95% of the way finished and ready to release to the marketplace can, unfortunately, be a bit maddening. Also, keep in mind that every time we spin a revised or updated prototype PCB, the wait time from the assembly house is three weeks. A couple of iterations can take two months easily. And yes, my tweaking and last-minute ideas have certainly caused much of the delay.jimk wrote:Well.....here we are, almost a week into '13. I've been lurking and looking. Seems like no news, yet. One pedal is all but finished; two are very close; and one has proven to be too much for the tech — it will soon be handed off to another developer who's done great work for us. (Yes, we actually have four pedals in the works).
As the final protos are signed off, I'll reveal all.
Re: New JangleBox pedals
Not to worry, we (should, anyway) know how these things can grow and change over time to enable producing a top quality product. Roger Baer, of Baer Amplification is going through this same process of finishing up, then revising and updating the work on his Valkyrie amplifier, and bassists are chomping at the bit for the amp to finally come to market. Patience is required here for all concerned.

Steve,
Just visited your website and found nothing about the three new pedals there. How is the production process going?

Re: New JangleBox pedals
Any updates ? How about a jangle fuzz ? Early splattery fuzz with good sustain ?
Re: New JangleBox pedals
Let me know if I can swing by one day after work and help you test them out!

Hey J we still need to get a beer sometime.jdogric12 wrote:Let me know if I can swing by one day after work and help you test them out!![]()
One of the pedals is done. Finito. Prototype signed off, enclosure graphics complete. I'm very pleased with it. Just trying to nail down a reasonable contract manufacturer in the U.S.
I apologize for all this silly cloak-and-dagger secrecy. Over at the JangleBox Facebook page (please visit and "like" our page: http://www.facebook.com/JangleBox) I explain how these delays occur, and until I apply for the names' trademark, we're vulnerable. Plus, as I've been keeping our dealers updated, several have asked that I not give out a lot of information until they can get pedals in inventory.

Maybe after I get the first pedal in production and the dust clears a bit...

Re: New JangleBox pedals
Here is a question primarily about using the Janglebox Byrds model with a Tonelab SE and a '68 RIC 340. I just spoke with the nice people at Janglebox and ordered the Byrds model Janglebox (they have suspended the regular JB2) to use with my RIC 340. I have been using a Vox Tonelab SE and 3 Pathfinder 15Rs to get the sound I want, but now I want to add the JB compression to get "that" sound. So, are there any recommendations from the group about where to add the Janglebox to the signal chain? Should I use the Send/Receive loop from the Tonelab or run from the RIC to the Janglebox and then into the Tonelab or the reverse... RIC-->Tonlelab--> Janglebox?
