The Jazz-Bo I have played is the loudest archtop I've ever heard. Not that I'm an expert on archtops, but I've picked up and played my share of them in stores for many years.

It also has acoustic strings (bronze?); what I would personally like is one with huge flatwounds (.013 or so) and a toaster at the neck. It's way down on the list though (for me).

Am I just imagining things or did this just show up on RIC's website??

700S "Shasta" and 700C "Comstock" - Jumbo body, solid Rosewood or Maple sides and back, Spruce top. . .
730S "Shiloh" and 730L "Laramie"- Dreadnought body, solid Rosewood or Maple sides and back, Spruce top. . .
760J "Jazz-bo" - Jazz body, solid Maple sides, solid carved Maple arched back, carved Spruce arched top. .

This last thing, the Jazz-bo, was this on their website before????

What's going on?? Am I crazy??

Can we start ordering them now???

Yeah, the Jazz-bo's been on the website for a while, but the photos posted earlier in this thread are, I believe, some of the first to really show the instrument in all its glory - hence all the excitement. I'm assuming you can order one....wonder what the waiting period would be.....

Chris, those have been on the site for a while...

The acoustics are happening, and are better than ever. Big long wait time though, as the backorders are piled high. Order away!

By the way, just to be clear: the Jazz-Bo may be the exception to my statement above - I was referring to the flat-tops. The wait time is still pretty far out for the 760...

If anyone is thinking about ordering a Ric acoustic, I would strongly encourage them to do it! I absolutely love my Comstock, and it has exceeded all of my expectations of what an acoustic guitar should be.... Although I didn't have to wait for mine (thanks to eBay), it would have been well worth any waiting period I may have had to endure!

I love my 730L Laramie, too!
