Posting Pics?
Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a way to create a link within a post that would display a picture from an external site? (Rather than creating a text link to the external site).

Wow Jeff. Those 5 string conversions are superb. They look like they were made that way, really impressive.
I know that a lot of you know each other, but there are also a lot (newies like me) who only recognise the names, so it might be a good idea to start a new thread where we can post our web sites. It is really nice to put a face & some info to the name. I know we can do this anyway, but it's just an easier way to do it.

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Hey Jeff - posting a hyperlink is straightforward, but what I'm trying to do is embed a link within a post that would refer to an image from an external site, but display it within the post. To conserve space on this board there's a size limit to pics you can upload. Being able to reference an external pic wouldn't put any resource strain on the Rickresource site as the pic data would be coming from another source. You can do that sort of thing on the Dudepit board.
Steve: Sorry this is not part of the Forum software and I see why.
While it would certainly save this Forum space, at the same time it can really be a major problem for some sites who aren't intending to be linked to the Forum. All of a sudden find they have a many people using their bandwidth resources all at the same time and without any control. Worst of all the forum that is hosting the image probably doesn't even get credit. My two cents.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
