Thanks guys! The 325 has always been my favorite Rickenbacker model. I love the Bigsby on the v59 and the gold bi-level pickguard and trc look great.

Thanks Peter! Actually,I had put the Paisley up for sale,only because I was trying to raise money to pay off what I still owe on the Rickenbacker. Fortunately it didn't sell. I think I would have regretted it if it had.

What kind of strings should I use for this guitar?

Pyramid flats - 12 or 13 guage...

Hey Mitch,

i used Pyramids and TI flats, but the TI sounded and felt much better. i prefer 13 to 12 gauge strings, but this is a matter of taste!

Also, if those are hard to find, Rickenbacker makes a set starting with .12s for their short-scale guitars. I believe Fuller's Vintage Guitars in Houston carries them.

I think the paisleys are getting harder to find--there are several threads dedicated to paisley Teles on the TDPRI forum. So it's nice that you have held onto it. I had one and had to sell it in the nineties, so I was glad when I was able to find another! So if you can hang onto it, I think you'll be glad you did. They're great little guitars.

Thanks for the posts. I will try to get some Rickenbacker strings. Maybe I will order a set for my Melody Maker too. It needs a set of strings with a wound 3rd.
