guards same on 660, 620, and 360/12v64?
Ah have a question. Are the upper and lower pickguards the same size and hole placement on a 620, 660, and 360/12v64?
Re: guards same on 660, 620, and 360/12v64?

610, 620, & 660 guards are interchangeable, but 360 guards are different.

I dont want to change the subject here but when i put up the comparison in my above post i can see it fine on my computer but when i click on the link on my mobile phone it asks me that i must choose two instruments for comparison? just saying....

I get this on my computer:
Why not just post the pics? You must first choose 2 instruments with images, to do so go to the item page of each instrument you wish to compare and click on "Add item to comparison engine" at the bottom of the item page
After you have done so for 2 instruments come back to this page and enjoy...!

FYI, Pickguardian has templates for all of the various models available as PDF downloads. You can print out and see exactly what the differences are, if you care.

Dang, I was hoping to make maybe a convertible out of a 620 or 660. Ah nuts. Thanks for the replies!
Re: guards same on 660, 620, and 360/12v64?
You can still do it. You just need to design new guards based on the originals. I'm sure the convertible hardware will work on a 600 series too.

IIRC, the UK Pearl White specials of last year had 660 guards (or something similar) on them, and a lot of folks didn't like the look.

Now doing this has to be done on a 660 Jason nothing else will do.Thus creating the number of the beast

Wow Jake. That upper 660 guard looks really bad with the pickup cutouts in the wrong place for a 300 series.

Deja vu... where's that dead horseJakeK wrote:IIRC, the UK Pearl White specials of last year had 660 guards (or something similar) on them, and a lot of folks didn't like the look.
Scotty you read my mind, kind of... I joked with a popular internet RIC dealer years ago about a 666/12... we swapped name ideas such as "Fire-and-brimstone-glo" and "Been-to-hell-and-backer"scotty wrote:Now doing this has to be done on a 660 Jason nothing else will do.Thus creating the number of the beast
I'm afraid the string spacing on a 660/12 might be too wide for the comb prongs though. It might work with a repro comb, but not the original 60's combs, which are super thinly spaced to match that great vintage string spacing.
Oh it's that simple???aceonbass wrote:You can still do it. You just need to design new guards based on the originals.

I didn't say it was simple, but when I've needed something different than the way RIC originally intended it, headstocks, pickguards, body shapes, etc..I've had to sit down with pencil and paper and design it myself. That's just the nature of custom stuff.jdogric12 wrote:Oh it's that simple???aceonbass wrote:You can still do it. You just need to design new guards based on the originals.![]()
