The Jazz Rounds that I have on my '73 4001 have been on it now for around three years and they still sound great. They do not have the super zingy high end of typical roundwound strings and keep their tone for a very long time, hence, their initially high cost is actually cheaper than other rounds in the long run given their longevity, IMO. The JRs are the lowest tension strings I have ever played so they do require learning to play with a softer touch, something I have learned from Gary Willis in a most dramatic way.

If you are not familiar with Gary here are some examples of his playing:

I saw Tribal Tech a couple times, in '96 and then around 2003 or so, which is when I had my eye, and hand, opening experience! 8)

Agreed on the TI Jazz Rounds, super light gauge but after a few minutes of playing you don't really notice it anymore.
