Jeff, are you sending your bass to Anthony Cameron at Sydney Guitar Setups? I haven't had any of my guitars pleked, but you are in good hands with Anthony and his crew. He has worked on a number of my guitars, Ricks, Fenders, Gibsons and Gretsches and always does at great job. Though the turnaround time can be a little frustrating.

Thanks.

That is the guy I am thinking of, yes.

From my discussion with him, he seems very capable.

+1 Phil Jacoby at Philtone Guitar

Plek is just another tool at the hands of a luthier. The tool is only as good as the craftsmen using it. Don't get hung up on the technology aspect. Find a good reputable tech.

I would guess it can be a very good tool in the hand of a very good craftman.

Thanks for the recommendation but I live in Australia!
