Man... This is making my brain hurt! Let me back up and absorb all this...

I started this thread about Boogies and Ricks... Now we are into to pretty high cotton...

Call me a simpleton... But I am focused on straightforward gigging/practice rigs... Although a lot of this is very interesting.

I do think there is a difference in sterile amplification vs. using the amp as part of your instrument. Maybe that is too simplified.

Meanwhile, I'll have another beer.

I love my DC-2 combo with my 660/12, great clean tones and nice and jangly; I leave the audiophile stuff for my stereo system (Magnepan/Aragon, etc.).
