1988 4003 pickguard

Post by vulcan_creedler »

Can anybody help me, with an accurate tracing of a 1988 4003 pickguard?

It's subtly different to the current one. Whilst most of the screw holes line up on the curent one, the lower section is slightly bigger, and it also puts the bass volume pot too close to the edge of the cavity. My 88 has had so many different pickguards (judging by its plethora of screw holes from previous surgery), and I also had to slightly shave the cavity to make the current pickguard fit, but I'd like to make a black pickguard for it, and I may as well make one in the correct dimensions!

Rickyspares / Ricksarus, in the UK also advertise them, but they also need a drawing to work from! Besides, I've got half a shedfull of sheet plexiglass!

Even a cracked/broken old one that could be used as a template!
